Video: ‘Taking Off’ Highlights New Restaurants
Skyport has released the latest episode of ‘Taking Off’, a video series with host Mikaela Pearman that highlights the airport redevelopment project, with this episode highlighting the new restaurants in the new passenger terminal building.
Speaking in the episode, Mikaela Pearman said, “One of the things we’re most excited for in the new passenger terminal building are the new restaurants!
“Bermuda Travel Concessions has been awarded the food and beverage contract in the new state-of-the-art terminal and plans are in place to create three uniquely distinct eateries with Bermudian themes throughout.
“Bermudians Dennie O’Connor and Jennifer Turini Ysseldyke have partnered with SSP America, one of the world’s leading airport food and beverage operators, to create Bermuda Travel Concessions.
“All three restaurants have outdoor patios or terraces with incredible views, delicious food and signature drinks.
“The new restaurants are: The Whistling Rum Bar & Grill, Rock & Barrel Gastro Bar and The Heron & the Sea Public House. Full dining, as well as Grab ‘n’ Go options, will be available at each location.
“Dishes on offer include Bermudian favourite codfish and potatoes, jerk chicken, fish chowder, rum cake, fish tacos, seared George Bank scallops, blackened wahoo and so much more.”
