$10,000 In Holiday Boxes Donated To BBBS
Marsh and Guy Carpenter colleagues have donated over 100 holiday boxes, valued at approximately $10,000, to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda [BBBS].
BBBS is a mentoring program dedicated to helping children and youth, primarily from single-parent homes, realize their potential by facilitating the development of long-term one-to-one relationships.
“Every year our kids look forward to this Shoebox giveaway provided by Marsh and Guy Carpenter,” said Patrina O’Connor-Paynter, Managing Director of BBBS of Bermuda.
“This is the fifth year, and I must admit it keeps getting better, the attention to detail of each of the boxes is truly impressive, and the kids just love it.”
This is the fifth year that Marsh and Guy Carpenter colleagues have donated and decorated shoeboxes filled with gifts for children of BBBS of Bermuda.
Each shoebox contains school supplies, hygiene items, accessories, and a popular toy requested by the child. This year, the children arrived at the Marsh office to receive their gifts, where they were greeted by Santa Claus who gave the children their presents.
“This annual initiative seeks to brighten the day for children in our community and is an easy way for our colleagues to give back and make a difference,” said Jahan Cedenio, Co-Chair of Marsh’s Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, who along with Marsh colleague Cyle Allen, led the donation effort.
“Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces each year is priceless. Marsh and Guy Carpenter are proud to do our small part again this year.”
