Warwick Academy Collects Toys For Tots
This morning [Dec 3], Kelly Hunt from The Collation for the Protection of Children came to Warwick Academy to accept toys that the school had collected as part of the Toys For Tots endeavour.
A spokesperson said, “The annual Toys for Tots campaign was adopted in 2002 and has given so many toys over the years to kids who might not have received anything. This year, the fundraiser was organized by HSBC.
“This act of giving teaches the students the kindness of giving at this time of year and will hopefully help kids in Bermuda have some happiness at Christmas.”
“This year we collected over 250 toys and they were displayed over have four or five large tables for the students to view on their way into assembly.”
Ryahn Ball and Sophia Moore of Year 5 said, “The Toys for Tots cause is not just about giving and getting, but more about the happiness that we want everyone to share in at this time of year. Thank you to everyone who donated toys this year.”
