BIFF To Screen ‘Echo In The Canyon’ Film

The Bermuda International Film Festival is to screen an award-winning music documentary at its BIFFlix monthly series.

Echo in the Canyon is a film about the explosion of popular music that came out of LA’s Laurel Canyon in the mid-60s.

It features candid conversations and performances with Brian Wilson, Ringo Starr, Michelle Phillips, Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Roger McGuinn and Jackson Browne as well as the contemporary musicians they influenced such as Tom Petty [in his last film interview].

The film has screened at festivals in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York, among many others, and was named among the “best documentaries of 2019” by the Hot Docs festival in Toronto.

Echo in the Canyon was named “best music documentary” at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

The film will screen on Wednesday January 22 at 6.30pm at the Speciality Cinema. Tickets, $15, are on sale now at www.ptix.bm, or at the cinema box office.

The film is rated PG-13. The running time is 82 minutes. The BIFFLix monthly series features the best arthouse, foreign, documentary and independent films.
