Bermuda Netball: Tigers Win, Storm & Heat Draw

The Bermuda Netball Association season continued, with Senior League games played at Bernard Park.

Lindos Tigers 48 North Village Lady Rams 21

The North Village Lady Rams started the game with 5 players against first place Lindos Tigers and they found it hard to catch a rhythm. The Lindos Tigers took advantage of this and came away with a victory 48 – 21. The Lindos Tigers got 23 goals from Jahtuere Trott, Apryl Jackson added 18 goals and Demiqua Daniels scored 7 times, while Khianda Pearman was named the teams MVP. The North Village Rams got 10 goals from Messiah Jackson and Nikita Trott, with MVP Stephanie Buckley scoring once.

Storm 36 Phoenix Heat 36

This was a high intensity game when the 2nd and 3rd place teams took the court. Storms young team were determined throughout the see saw battle. The first quarter ended 9-9. The last two minutes of the 4th quarter saw the Storm leading by 3 goals, but the Phoenix Heats experience came through and they were able to tie the game at 36 – 36 while not having their top goal scorer Danielle Raynor.

The Storm were led by Nabiilah Nasir who scored 19 goals, while Elishe Smith added 12 goals and Zakiyah Durham scored 5 times, Selah Tuzo was named the teams MVP. MVP Ebonie Cox scored 28 goals to lead the Phoenix Heat, while Eshe Grant added 8 goals.
