FA Challenge Cup, Premier, First Division Results

Footballers in the FA Challenge Cup and First Division were in action this past weekend, with Devonshire Colts, North Village Rams, X-Road’s, and Vasco all earning wins, while the match between Dandy Town Hornets and Somerset Eagles in the Premier Division was postponed due to a waterlogged field.

FA Challenge Cup: PHC Zebras 2 Devonshire Colts 4

At the PHC Stadium, the Devonshire Colts came from behind and defeated the PHC Zebras 4 – 2.

Shakhai Trott gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 13th minute, Chemarl Henry equalized for the Devonshire Colts in the 34th minute. Diego Richardson gave the Devonshire Colts the lead in the 66th minute, but Cecoy Robinson equalized for the PHC Zebras. Devonshire Colts went back in front in the 83rd minute when Richardson scored his second goal of the game and then Henry scored again in the 87th minute to advance the Devonshire Colts to the Semi-Final Draw.

FA Challenge Cup: Southampton Rangers 1 North Village Rams 4

At the Southampton Oval, the North Village Rams came from behind to defeat the Southampton Rangers and advance to the Semi-Finals.

Keishon Wilson gave the Southampton Rangers the lead in the 12th minute, North Village Rams did not equalize until the 50th minute when Troy Tucker scored, Jarreau Daniels gave the North Village Rams the lead in the 62nd minute. Keishen Bean then gave the North Village Rams a two goal lead when he scored in the 71st minute, and Bean would then close out the scoring with a strike in the 87th minute.

FA Challenge Cup: St. George’s Colts 0 X-Roads 1

At the Wellington Oval, X-Roads advanced to the Semi-Finals following a 1 – 0 win over the St. George’s Colts.

The lone goal in this game came in the first half from Paul Simons for X-Road’s.

Premier Division: Dandy Town Hornets 0 Somerset Eagles 0 – Postponed

For the second time in a week, this match was postponed due to a waterlogged field. Heavy rain on Saturday and overnight made the playing surface unsafe for the players and officials to take to the pitch.

First Division: Vasco 3 Flanagan’s Onions 0

At the Bernard Park, Vasco picked up a 3 – 0 win over the Flanagan’s Onions, but with the win they also handed the St. George’s Colts a place in the Premier Division next season.

After a scoreless first half, Ricardo Medeiros gave Vasco the lead in the 80th minute, an own goal doubled the lead in the 82nd minute and then Daniel Teleman closed out the scoring for Vasco to earn the win.
