Photos & Video: International Women’s Day

March 7, 2020

The International Women’s Day Bermuda committee held an International Women’s Day celebration on Friday [March 6] at City Hall with the event featuring speakers and entertainment, while Tami Ray — Bermuda’s first female ferry pilot — received the Woman of the Year award.

A spokesperson previously said, “International Women’s Day is for celebrating the achievements of women, calling for gender parity and encouraging the youth and next generation to commit to equality, rally for action and raise awareness.

“This year’s theme is ‘Each For Equal’ – an equal world is an enabled world. IWD Bermuda believes everyone has a role to play in forging a more gender equal world.”
