The Bermuda Police Service’s Roads Policing Unit said in a tweet, “RPU conducted speed checks, with 25 speeders and 73kph being the top speed.

“A traffic stop resulted in the subject trying to elude RPU by attempting to jump into the sea; unfortunately for him, he got caught in the vegetation and didn’t make it. Looking at the drop, he’d be happy.

“K9 as well as the Coast Guard came to assist. The subject, along with a quantity of plant material, a scale, and a sum of cash was found. This started from speeding at 63kph. Well done by all.”
