Students Join LSM Summer Internship Program
Liberty Specialty Markets recently welcomed Aidan Thorne, Arisha Butterfield, Jackie Costello, Tashae Trott, Aariyen Murray, and Alice Reeves to their Summer Internship Program.
A spokesperson said, “LSM is excited to welcome six interns to the LSM Bermuda team this summer! The list of talented university students include Aidan Thorne, Arisha Butterfield, Jackie Costello, Tashae Trott, Aariyen Murray, and Alice Reeves, who will be working in a number of different functions including underwriting, claims, finance and risk, and compliance.
“Covid-19 has brought new demands on our business and shifted us quickly into new methods of virtual working arrangements. In spite of these challenges, we are proud of our staff and their resilience along with their commitment to ensure young people in our community continue to have an opportunity to develop and participate in our business.
“The team has worked hard to design a virtual experience that is impactful, immersive, and of value to our interns as well as our business. Work from home requires a shift in approach and a new lens on the types of projects interns are engaged in as well as the ability to ensure there is a provision for relationship building and fun!
“However, during a time where many students faced cancelled or postponed internships, LSM remains committed to the vision that our internships are not only critical to students seeking the necessary experience for post-graduation, but also remains a successful pipeline for talent for our organization.”
