As a way to show their gratitude for the success of the Bermuda Carnival Virtual Weekend, the Bermuda Carnival team donated $2,000 to the Gina Spence Productions [GSP].

A spokesperson said, “Once again the Bermuda Carnival family has wowed and humbled the BHW Ltd. team. Faced with a global pandemic, our team took a new approach to celebrating in 2020, unsure of how it would be received. In our wildest imaginations and deep within our greatest hopes, we could never have foreseen how many of you would not only show up, but also brilliantly share with the world, why Bermuda’s Carnival has truly earned the title of Fastest Growing Carnival in the World.

“From Europe to North America to every Caribbean island possible, you all tuned in, participated, and made this unique 5 event Virtual Weekend, a true success in more ways than one. For that you have our undying gratitude.

“However, not only did you all rejoice with us, many of you also took the time to hit that donate button. Due to your generous contributions the team was able to lend support to the Gina Spence Productions [GSP] non-profit charity [#856] to the tune of $2,000.00. Bermuda Carnival family, we hope you can feel how much your kindness warmed our hearts. With your help we are able to aid GSP in providing much needed gift vouchers for food and medicine, to homes that now have a single parent through the death of a loved one, as a result of gun violence. We may have all had a wonderful time, but we were also able to channel that energy into the most positive of ways. You should know that your altruism, enthusiasm, and dedication has fired us up and we are eager and excited to blow your minds for 2021.

“The BHW Ltd. team would also like to say a special thank you to our generous sponsor Johnnie Walker. Never before has it been more apt of us to say, you kept us walking, jumping, waving, and making merry all weekend long. Cheers to you and cheers to our continued mutually beneficial relationship.

“We would like to say a special thank you to our DJs. They dug into their archives, they brought unforgettable vibes, and they each kept the party pumping from the first minute, to the last minute, and especially in those stolen overtime minutes. We cannot just call you family anymore; you guys are our brothers. Without you this could not have happened.

“But look at this list, our Bermuda Team, DJ Fury, DJ Chubb, DJ Burge & DJ iBreeze. Our International family, DJ Mastamind [Boston], DJ Ryan Sayeed [Miami], Dream Team [Miami], DJ Spice [NYC], DeejBlaze [St. Martin], DJ Jester [Toronto], and Dr. Jay [Toronto].

“When a group like that is in charge of the music, only the best can be expected. We sincerely appreciate the love and the exhilarating energy you brought to Bermuda Carnival’s Virtual Weekend. To the special guests who dropped by like Barrie Hype, Lyrikal, Teddyson John, and Kerwin DuBois, you all gave the events that extra fire. From our hearts thank you!

“Whether you worked behind the scenes, or helped share the streams, or spread the word like Loop Caribbean and Bernews, please know you have our genuine and heartfelt gratitude.

“Thank you all. It is such a simple phrase, but with you by our side, there was fun, but there was also the blessed opportunity to make a beneficial contribution to those who needed it the most.

“Thank you all once again, and keep checking our social media for all things Bermuda Carnival!“
