Police Officer Suspended, Investigation Ongoing
“Yesterday, an officer was suspended in relation to ongoing discipline matters,” the police have confirmed, adding that “because the investigation is ongoing no further details or names will be released.”
Darrin Simons, Deputy Commissioner of Police said: “Please be reminded suspension is never a finding of guilt.
“Rather, having regard to; the nature of the allegation, consideration of restricted duties, the need for an effective investigation and, the public’s interest, is the appropriate course of action in the circumstances.”
