Suspected Drugs Seized, Two Men Arrested
A search warrant executed at a Pembroke residence resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old man, and a 28-year old man was also arrested at the airport for alleged importation of a controlled drug.
21-Year-Old Arrested
A police spokesperson said, “At 10:28 a.m. on Wednesday 12th August, police executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a Pembroke residence.
“A large quantity of suspected crack cocaine along with other suspected controlled drugs were recovered at the property. A 21-year-old male was subsequently arrested for possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.
28-Year-Old Arrested
“Shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday 12-Aug, police attended the arrivals hall at the L.F. Wade International Airport, St Georges.
“Following discussions with officers from H.M. Customs, a 28-year-old male was arrested for importation of a controlled drug, after he was allegedly found with a vacuum sealed bag, containing what is believed to be cannabis.
“The suspect also faces a charge for threatening behaviour after allegedly threatening to assault a Customs official.”
