Wanda Mwaura Joins Clarien Board Of Directors
Clarien Bank announced the appointment of Wanda Mwaura to its Board of Directors.
A spokesperson said, “Clarien Bank Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Wanda Mwaura, an experienced financial services professional, to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.”
“Previously serving as a Partner at Ernst & Young Ltd. Bermuda [EY] until September 2013 and as the Chief Accounting Officer at PartnerRe until July 2019, Ms Mwaura has over 24 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
“She is currently the sole proprietor of Consult.bm providing director services to various entities. She was recently appointed as a non-executive director on the board and chair of the audit committee of a global public company, International General Insurance Holdings Ltd. She also serves as Acting Executive Director for the Bermuda Public Accountability Board.
“Ms Mwaura has participated in numerous other boards and committees during her career, and has gained extensive experience contributing and reporting to boards and audit committees in an audit and advisory capacity at EY.
“Holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, in Canada, Ms Mwaura is also a qualified accountant having successfully completed both the US and Canadian exams. She holds the CPA, CA designation and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda.
“Ms Mwaura will join other Directors on the Clarien Bank Limited Board including: Chairman Patrick Hylton, Managing Partner of Portland Private Equity [PPE], Robert Almeida and former President and CEO of Capital G Limited, James Gibbons.
