Campbell Earns Golf All-America Scholar Award

Three William & Mary men’s golfers –  including Bermuda’s Walker Campbell — were named 2020 Golf Coaches Association of America [GCAA] Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Award winners.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate’s Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.

In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. For 2019-20 only, they must participate in 40% of the team’s competitive rounds.

Campbell rounded out his Tribe career by appearing in nine rounds during the shortened year. He recorded a 75.78 stroke per round score. For his career, he averaged a 74.88 stroke per round score and is tied for the best round in school history with his 65 [-7] in the first round score in the 2018 The Invitational at Savannah Harbor.
