Election Nomination Day On Thursday, Sept 10

An official Government notice has been issued for Nomination Day, stating that the nomination of candidates for all 36 constituencies in the 2020 General Election will take place at Seventh-day Adventist Church Hall on King Street in Hamilton on Thursday [Sept 10] between 11:00am and 1:00pm.

This means that on Thursday we will find out who is running in the General Election, who is representing the OBA and PLP in each seat, how many Independents may be running and what seats the newly launched Free Democratic Movement party may be contesting. As of this writing, there are 20 officially confirmed candidates announced so far, spanning the PLP, OBA and one Independent.

Notice Of Nomination Place

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with section 32[1] of the Parliamentary Election Act 1978, that the nomination of candidates for the General Election, for all thirty-six [36] constituencies, will take place at Seventh-day Adventist Church Hall on King Street in Hamilton on Thursday, 10 September 2020 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
