Ball Hockey: Frontier & Liberty Mutual Win

Action resumed in the Bermuda Ball Hockey League season at the PCC Hockey Rink, with a total of 12 goals on the night.

BDA Spirits 1 Frontier 4

In the opener, Frontier defeated the BDA Spirits 4 – 1. Frontier took a 2 – 0 lead into the second period after getting two first period goals off the stick of Jeremy Estey.

Christopher Merritt made it 3 – 0 to Frontier in the second period, before Jordan Gunter pulled a goal back for BDA Spirits in the third period only for Merritt to add his second of the game to restore the Frontier three-goal lead and secure the win.

Liberty Mutual Insurance 4 Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers 3

For the second game in a row, the Liberty Mutual Insurance needed a shootout goal to pick up a win, this time they defeated Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers 4 – 3.

Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers jumped out to a 2 – 0 first period lead with goals from Ryan Marshall and Adrian Stromberg.

Neither team would find the back of the net in the second period, but in the third period, Liberty Mutual Insurance would score three times with goals off the sticks of Christina Collis, Adam Fenos, and Chad Cundliffe, while Kellin Middleton scored the lone got of the Period for Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers to send the match into the Shootout.

In the Shootout, Liberty Mutual Insurance got the all-important goal off the stick of Anthony Kapsimalis to earn the win.
