Ball Hockey: Outback & Spine And Sport Win

The Bermuda Ball Hockey Association’s fall season recently continued at the PCC Hockey Rink with a doubleheader that produced 15 goals on the night.

Liberty Mutual Insurance 3 – Outback 4

Outback edged Liberty Mutual Insurance 4 – 3 with an exciting shootout goal.

This game started at a fast pace with five goals in the first period. Outback took the lead when JM Tremblay scored, but Liberty Mutual Insurance equalized with a strike off the stick of Bill Mcclure.

Outback pulled back in front when Matthew Benson scored. Benson then extended the Outback lead with his second goal of the game, making it 3 – 1, but minutes before the period came to an end Liberty Mutual Insurance pulled within one when Shane Matchett scored.

Jacob Fenske scored the lone goal of the second period for Liberty Mutual Insurance to draw level, but with no further goals scored in the game, it resulted in a shootout, with Jon Talbot scoring the all-important goal.

Spine And Sport 7 – Appleby 1

In the nightcap, Spine and Sport defeated Appleby 7 – 1.

Spine and Sport got two goals off the sticks of Robbie Bailey and Andrew Bonner, while Ronnie Dzurus, Jeffrey Ingelman and Matt Ingelman all added a goal each. Ross Rufiange scored the lone goal for Appleby.
