World Tens Series Start Date Moved To Oct 25
The Rugby World Tens Series – which was scheduled to start this Saturday [Oct 24] in Bermuda — will be pushed back by one day to avoid any possible impact from the weather conditions.
“Round One of the World Tens Series, the League, will now be played across Sunday 25 and Monday 26 October,” the organization announced, explaining that the change to the schedule is due to Hurricane Epsilon,
World Tens Series CEO, Jon Phelps said: “Everyone has done an incredible amount of work to get to this point in launching the Series, that we felt the most sensible and, correct decision, is not to take any chances with mother nature.
“Bermuda has welcomed us all here, and we cannot wait to get started, but safety and patience is the wisest course at this stage. We are looking forward to the storm passing Bermuda safely and kicking off on Sunday morning.”
All seven teams have been informed of this schedule change and appreciate the requirement to do so.
