CEA Regional Jumping Challenge Results

November 15, 2020

The Bermuda round of the 2020 Caribbean Equestrian Association’s Regional Jumping Challenge took place at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street.

This competition provides an opportunity for local riders to compete against other Caribbean countries without the expense or logistical challenges of competing overseas.

Riders from each participating Caribbean country compete over the identical jumping course. This year’s course was designed by Bermuda’s own Heidi Shelley Mello.

Competing countries have until the end of December in which to host their competition and thus Bermuda competitors must now wait until the end of the year for the overall country placings.

The 2020 Bermuda team comprises of: Lily Butler riding Storm Watch won the 0.70m Class with a double clear round time of 66.40.

During the 0.85m Class, Tyler James riding Happy Feet picked up the win with a double clear round time of 50.21.

MacKenzie James riding Up Up & Away won the 1.00m Class with a time of 62.79, with 4 penalty fault points.
