During the fourth week of the Battle Of The Blades event — being held in Canada by the CBC — Vanessa James and Akim Aliu “scored highest in the Skate Off with a 17.4, keeping them safe for another week.”
A CBC story said, “After an intense competition on Week 4 of Battle of the Blades, two pairs were sent home.
“A historic tie in Week 3 saw all seven pairs stay in the competition, but the fun couldn’t last.
“This week’s Skate Off featured three pairs fighting to remain on the ice:
- Vanessa James and Akim Aliu
- Andrew Poje and Meghan Agosta
- Eric Radford and Jennifer Botterill
“In the end, Vanessa James and Akim Aliu scored highest in the Skate Off with a 17.4, keeping them safe for another week.”
