CFASB Relaunches Financial Literacy Series

CFA Society Bermuda will again be offering their “Building Financial Literacy” as part of the PACE program at the Bermuda College, with classes to begin on Wednesday [Jan 20].

A spokesperson said, “CFA Society Bermuda’s popular series “Building Financial Literacy” will again be offered this semester as part of the PACE program at the Bermuda College. Classes will begin Wednesday evening January 20, running for four consecutive weeks. Registration closes this Friday, January 15.

“As described in the PACE course catalogue, the course aims to build financial knowledge. Specific topics covered include Developing Financial Goals, Determining Your Current Financial Position, Creating a Budget, Understanding Debt, and Planning for Retirement. In response to the recent climate of economic uncertainty, why Emergency Funds are important and how to begin to create one is also discussed.

“Series coordinator Ms. Robin Masters, CFA said “Being financially literate is the first step to building financial resilience and achieving financial well-being. Our goal is to help people understand and take control of their money choices and make whatever lifestyle changes may be necessary to lower financial stress and have financial security in the future.”

“Classes will be again be given using the College’s remote teaching environment. Each week’s session will be delivered online using the Zoom platform, so access via a desktop computer or tablet is recommended.
