Lopes Crowned CALI Reserve Champion
Nicholas Lopes began competing in the 2021 World Equestrian Federation’s United States Hunter/Jumper Association [USHJA] / World Championship Hunter Rider [WCHR] Spectacular CSI 3* Horse Jumping event in Wellington, Florida.
Lopes — riding Supreme Z — finished 3rd in 1.15m Children’s Jumper Classic 15-17 with a jump-off class. The pair clocked a clear first round time of 74.53, they advanced to the jump-off round and were clocked at 31.62.
Lopes was also named the Junior Hunter 3’3” Division 15 & Under Handy CALI Reserve Champion. Riding Casino 71, Lopes accumulated 84.5 points.
