Register For ‘Limited Edition’ Bermuda Day Race
Registration for this year’s Bermuda Half Marathon Derby will be opening on April 1st, with this year’s race set to be a ’Limited Edition’ event with participants capped at 450 half marathon runners and 100 relay runners, making up 25 teams.
The Bermuda Half Marathon Derby posted the graphic below online, saying, “Registration for this year’s Bermuda Half Marathon Derby will be opening on April 1st, 2021.
“This year’s Derby will be a ‘Limited Edition’ event as participants for this year’s event will be capped at 450 half marathon runners and 100 relay runners [25 teams]. The half marathon event will start at 8:30am in St. Georges, and runners will be assigned to waves. The relay will kick off at approximately 8:50am.
“Depending on the situation with Covid-19 on the day of the event, certain requirements and cooperation from participants may be mandated, ie. masks at the start.
“Also, please be advised that participants who wish to compete in the 2021 Bermuda Half Marathon Derby must not have travelled off island within 14 days prior to the event. Anyone wearing the government-issued yellow bracelet will not be eligible to participate in the event. Please plan accordingly.
“The health and safety of the Derby participants and the community who comes out to support the event is a priority for us, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding with the changes to this year’s event. More information will be forthcoming.”
