DeRosa Wins Two Gold Medals In Challenge
Tiara DeRosa represented Mississippi Valley State University at the 2021 Carey College Challenge, making an impressive showing to claim two gold medals.
DeRosa picked up the win in the Women’s Discus Throw with a top toss of 44.42m or 145 feet 9 inches.
Of the 23 competitors, DeRosa had the best throw in the first attempt with a distance of 40.56m, she then threw 38.88m, 41.91m, before recording a foul on her fourth attempt. DeRosa then recorded a distance of 44.35m on her fifth attempt, before closing out with the winning toss.
The Bermudian athlete also won the Women’s Shot Putt with a top toss of 13.10m or 42 feet 11.75 inches, which came on her fifth attempt.
