“Each of us has a role to play in stopping the spread of the coronavirus. Follow Public Health guidelines, wear a mask, practice good hand hygiene, maintain physical distance and download the WeHealthBermuda app. Do the research, talk with your doctor and make an informed decision about getting the Covid-19 vaccine.”

  1. Krankowski says:

Its kinda disgusting that people lined up in the rain 2 months ago, and now they are being lured in with car wash vouchers and free meals.

I want as many as possible to get vaccinated but this does not reflect well on Government efforts. Nor does it reflect well on those that have waited this long.

The safekey was clearly a complete waste too, as of 6/15 it’s pretty much redundant.

    • Now Ya Nice says:

@Krankowski.if you wanted something to have been done sooner, then why didn’t you organize it, donate yourself or do something about it? Some people love the easy position of armchair quarterback and chief complainer.

No one is being lured in. Do some research and might find that the vast majority of those vaccinated yesterday, were unaware that there were any gifts being offered as a token of thanks. Many people were there to get their 2nd shot and a few others didn’t take the gifts.

These were private companies, individuals and charities that wanted to give back to the workers and the community. They ALL approached the government , not the government that approached them. Take off your judgement glasses and be grateful that we have people in this world that care, instead of complaining about what they didn’t get.

    • Money in Pitcher pockets says:

Safekey was a temporary bridge to opening up AND a cash windfall for the Pitcher company!

Just follow the money people- it’s easy!

  2. Thank you!!!! says:

I thank the businesses for their generosity! I don’t agree with some of the things the Premier says or the way he acts at times, but in this instance,; I thank him for getting out there and encouraging fellow Bermudians to get vaccinated. Sometimes just clarification on misinformation, sometimes someone is just afraid of needles, and I think his presence helps! So thank you to everyone getting the vaccination, encouraging and supporting.
