Baseball: Adam Hall & IronBirds Defeat Asheville
Adam Hall and his Aberdeen IronBirds teammates recently halted their run of defeats by picking up a 9 – 8 win over the Asheville Tourists, the High-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.
For the first time in the series, the Aberdeen IronBirds scored first. They scored a single run in the top of the second and third, but Ashville scored five times in the bottom of the third and then another three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take an 8 – 2 lead.
Hall and his teammates staged a comeback with two runs in the top of the fifth, three more in the top of the seventh, and then two in the top of the eighth to take the 9 – 8 lead.
Hall went two for three from the plate, with an RBI and a stolen base.
