Video: SATA Azores Flight Lands In Bermuda
A SATA Azores Airlines flight landed in Bermuda yesterday [June 13], marking the first of a series of SATA charter flights that will visit Bermuda until September 2021.
Speaking in the House of Assembly today earlier this month, Minister of Transport Lawrence Scott said, “This direct route will increase opportunities for inbound tourism and for Bermuda residents to travel to the Azores and connect to 8 other islands, Europe and beyond, and reunite with family and friends.
“The success of this summer’s direct air travel route between Bermuda and Azores could lead to a regularly scheduled flight between our two countries.”
Skyport also welcomed the arrival of the flight, saying, “We welcomed the arrival of the new SATA Azores Airline route which provides service directly to Ponta Delgada.”
