Interruption In Public Bus Service On Friday

There will be an interruption in bus service from 10.00am – 1.30pm on Friday [July 9] to “facilitate meetings with DPT staff to update on the new electric bus procurement, Fall 2021 bus services and work rosters,” the Government said.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] is advising of an interruption in bus service on Friday, 9 July from 10.00 am – 1.30 pm.

“The service interruption will facilitate meetings with DPT staff to update on the new electric bus procurement, Fall 2021 bus services and work rosters.

“The DPT apologises in advance for any inconvenience to the travelling public.”

    The sad, sad part is that we all accept this as the norm: in this day of emails and WhatsApp all the relevant information could be forwarded to the drivers and normal service could continue. However, the BIU knows full well that the spineless Minister of Transport and equally spineless PTSB management will let the tail wag the dog as usual.
