Sailing: Kempe Finishes 3rd In ILCA Youth Worlds

Bermuda’s Sebastian Kempe made an excellent showing at the 2021 International Laser Class Association [ILCA] Youth Worlds in Italy, placing 3rd in the event, which had over 370 overall entries from 40 countries.

Sebastian Kempe finished 3rd overall with 83.2 net points in the gold fleet, a very impressive showing in the 67 strong field. Mattia Cesana of Italy won the division, while Chapman Petersen from the United States was second.

    This is an amazing accomplishment for a young Bermudian. I don’t think most people understand the effort that goes into a sailing regatta. Well done, Sebastian. Making this Bermudian, who knows about sailing, VERY PROUD!!!!
