Bermuda Arts Centre’s ‘Sunrise Sunset’ Show
[Updated] The Bermuda Arts Centre is getting set to open a members’ show titled ‘Sunrise Sunset’ on Sunday [Sept 5] at the Seabreeze Lounge at the Elbow Beach Hotel.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Arts Centre invites you to an art opening and paint out on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
“We are excited to partner with Seabreeze Lounge at the Elbow Beach Hotel and our opening will be held on the grass lounge outside of the restaurant.
“The show is entitled ‘Sunrise Sunset,’ showcasing art in all media.
“Artwork will be set up on the lawn outside of Seabreeze, offering a spread out open environment for viewing. In addition, the Bermuda Plein Air Group will be capturing the day by painting in various spots around the show and the beach.
“We invite art lovers to visit the show, meet our artists and enjoy lunch or a cocktail under a shady umbrella at Seabreeze Lounge.
“Although the event is completely outside and spread out, we will be following all Covid policies.
“Should it rain on Sunday, the opening will be cancelled and a new date posted.
“The show opens from 12:00pm until 3:00pm. All artwork is for sale, including wet pieces right off the easel.
“The show will be moved from the opening to The Bermuda Arts Centre, where it will be on display until November 5.”
Update Sept 4, 6.00pm: A spokesperson said, “Due to our event being entirely outside and the unpredicted weather tomorrow, we feel that it is best to postpone until next week, Sunday, September 12.”
