Motorcycle Rider Injured In Collision With Car
A motorcycle rider was transported to KEMH last night [Aug 31] for treatment of what is believed to be a serious leg injury, following a serious two vehicle road traffic collision in Warwick
A police spokesperson said, “Around 8:00pm on 31st August 2021, police and first responders were dispatched to a two vehicle road traffic collision on Middle Road, junction with Longford Road in Warwick, involving a motorcycle and a private motorcar.
“Initial information suggests that a male riding a motorcycle was traveling in an easterly direction, when a private motorcar driven by another male traveling in the opposite direction attempted to negotiate a right hand turn onto Longford Road, causing the two vehicles to collide.
“The motorcycle rider was conveyed to KEMH for treatment of what is believed to be a serious leg injury. The driver of the motorcar was not reported to be injured.
“Traffic diversions were in place for approximately two hours, while traffic accident investigators processed the scene.
“Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen this collision to contact PC Bailey on 211.”
