KPMG Announces Promotions, New Hires
KPMG in Bermuda announced that it has promoted four Andrew Shailer, Kevin O’Reilly, Nicki Griffiths, and Minesh Ranchod, and has also welcomed four Dr Edward Fitzgerald, Alex Xu, Troy Dort, and Nathan Bickley-May.
A spokesperson said, “Business needs are constantly changing due to new and evolving regulation and governance requirements, geopolital movement and technological development. KPMG in Bermuda recognises the importance of having the right team in place to help our clients thrive and are pleased to promote four employees to Directorship, along with welcoming four new leaders to the Advisory team.

New Directors
- “Andrew Shailer: Andrew returned to the Bermuda office in 2011 after a long-term secondment with KPMG UK in London. Since returning to the island Andrew has managed many of the largest restructuring engagements in the Advisory Department, including significant liquidation appointments in the insurance, investment, and local sectors.
- “Kevin O’Reilly: Kevin joined KPMG in Bermuda in 2018 from Allianz Insurance in the UK. Kevin works in the FRM team, assisting with audits of insurance clients and providing actuarial services to clients across reserving, regulation and capital projects. He has recently taken on the Loss Reserve Specialist role across several insurance clients.
- “Nicki Griffiths: Nicki joined KPMG in 2011 having previously worked at Marsh in Bermuda. She has played a key role in the successful management and development of the firm’s HR business during this time.
- “Minesh Ranchod: Minesh joined KPMG in Bermuda in 2013, having previously worked in South Africa. Minesh is part of the insurance audit team and has been the lead manager on a number of the firm’s key audit clients. In addition to his audit responsibilities, he has also contributed to a number of other areas in the audit department including being an active member of the firm’s technical committee, playing a key role in the firm’s offshoring strategy and more recently – being involved in the development of KPMG in Bermuda’s Impact assurance service offering.

New Advisory starts
- “Dr. Edward Fitzgerald will be spearheading our healthcare practice and has been working in Bermuda since January 2020 to support the Bermuda Hospitals Board and the Ministry of Health. He joins us from KPMG’s Healthcare Advisory practice in the UK;
- “Alex Xu joins our Actuarial leadership team, bringing to the firm over 20 years of experience focused on property and casualty re/insurance;
- “Troy Dort will be leading our IT Advisory practice and brings with him more than 20 years of experience. Troy will be focused on assisting clients with all aspects of their IT agenda, including digital transformation and protecting their digital assets; and
- “Nathan Bickley-May has over 13 years of experience and is a JIEB qualified Insolvency Practitioner, and joins our Restructuring team, concentrating on advising organisations on restructuring and insolvency matters.
