Mallory Wins Twice On Invitational Opening Day
Trey Mallory and his UNC Wilmington men’s tennis teammates won 14 of 16 matches on the opening day of the Jersey Mike’s Seahawk Fall Invitational at Porters Neck Country Club.
Mallory — playing in the Singles Flight A — won his two matches on the day.
The Bermudian tennis player won his first match, taking three sets to defeat Roger Rogowski representing the University of North Carolina at Greensboro,. Mallory won the first set 7-5, Rogowski won the second set 6-2, Mallory then won the third set 7-6.
Mallory later took to the court to face Erik Gran from Youngstown State where he picked up the win in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
