Tennis: Phillips Wins Doubles Match In Turkey
Bermudian tennis player Daniel Phillips was eliminated from the singles draw but advanced in the doubles bracket at the M15 Kayseri tournament in Turkey.
In the singles quarter-finals, second seed Maxwell McKennon of the United States defeated Phillips in straight sets.
Phillips returned to the court for a doubles match alongside partner Bogdan Seleznev. The pair advanced by defeating Timofei Derepasko and Daniil Stepanov in three sets.
After losing the first set 4-6, Phillips and Seleznev won the second set 6-3 to force a match tie-break. Phillips and Seleznev won the deciding tie-break 10-6 to secure the victory.
