Shooting On Court Street, One Person Injured

Gunshots were fired in the Court Street area last night [Nov 20], and a 30-year-old man “with a gunshot wound was transported to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries, which are not considered to be life threatening.”

A police spokesperson said, “Shortly before midnight on Saturday 20th, November 2021, police responded to a report of gunshots heard in the area of Jamaican Grill on Court Street in Pembroke. Initial investigations revealed that a firearm had been discharged in the area and the scene was forensically processed.

“A short time later, a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound was transported to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries, which are not considered to be life threatening. He was treated then later discharged. It is confirmed that the two incidents are connected.

“The Bermuda Police Service would like to encourage anyone who may have been in the Court Street area at the time of the incident, drove through the area with a dash camera between 11:30 pm and 12:30 pm or anyone who may have information about this incident, to get in touch.
