Caitlyn Bobb Named Track Performer Of Week
Caitlyn Bobb — who recently recorded the 5th fastest time in the 500m in the United States college rankings this year — has earned the America East Female Track Performer of the Week award.
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County website said, “UMBC track and field kicked off the 2021-22 season in grand fashion at the Navy Invitational on Saturday. Freshman Caitlyn Bobb [Joppa, Md.] earned America East Female Track Performer of the Week for her efforts, the conference announced on Tuesday.
“Bobb won the 500m dash in her first collegiate meet. She crossed the tape in a time of 1:14.14, which not only qualifies for ECAC Championships, it is the fifth-best time in school history and also the fifth fastest time in the nation this year.”
