Man Arrested Following Assault At Playground
A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault on a 51-year-old woman yesterday afternoon [Jan 16] at the Parson’s Road playground.
A police spokesperson said, “A forty-one-year old male has been arrested in connection with a reported physical assault on a fifty-one-year old female.
“Police received a call shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, 16th January, 2022, of an incident at the Parson’s Road playground.
“Upon arrival, officers were met by the complainant who reported she was physically assaulted by the suspect who had also brandished a knife, threatening her and another person.
“The male was located on Victoria Street in the City of Hamilton and subsequently arrested.
“Anyone who may have witnessed, or who may have any information on the reported initial incident, is asked to call 211 or, the main police number, 295-0011.”
