Gun Shots In Pembroke Area, No One Injured

[Updated] The police are responding to the Deepdale Road/Parson’s Road area in Pembroke this evening [Jan 12], with multiple police vehicles and officers on scene. Unofficial reports suggest that area residents may have heard what sounded like gunshots. Further confirmed details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.

Update 8.50pm: We are expecting a full police statement later tonight, however the police have confirmed that there was a firearms incident, and as of this time, there is no indication that anyone was injured.

Update 9.45pm: The police said, “Police received several calls reporting gunshots heard in the area of Deepdale Road and Parsons Road, Pembroke, around 7:45pm this evening.

“Upon arrival at the scene, officers recovered a number of spent shells near a private residence on Deepdale Road west.

“There were no reported injuries and checks with King Edward Hospital, confirmed no one had attended the facility seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.

“Reports are two individuals on a silver grey coloured motorcycle, were seen leaving the area shortly after the incident. One of them believed to have been dressed in a grey tracksuit.

“Deepdale Road was cordoned off while the scene was forensically processed, but was reopened about one hour after the incident.

“This is the third such incident in this area in recent times and the Bermuda Police Service urges anyone with information to please call 211, the main police number, 295-0011 or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477.”

    How much more do we have to endure and now motor bikes riding without a license at high speeds twice a day now and the police do nothing as they ride all over this area like they own it .
