Police Witness Appeal: Two Vehicle Collision

The police are appealing for witnesses to the collision in Sandys on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service, is once again requesting the public’s assistance with the investigation into a serious two vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred just east of Woody’s Drive in, Sandys, shortly before 7:00 pm on Tuesday 28th December, 2021.

“At the time, a 54-year-old male motorcycle rider was traveling east on Malabar Road in the vicinity of the Bermuda Coast Guard facility. A 27-year-old male on another motorcycle was traveling in a westerly direction, when they were involved in a collision.

“Both men were transported to hospital via ambulance, with what were described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

“The 54-year-old has since been airlifted to Boston, for further treatment for injuries which include facial and skull fractures as well as a back injury.

“The condition of the second victim remains unclear at this time.

“Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with the occupants of a dark coloured motorcar, which was in the immediate area at the time of the collision.
