2021 Environmental Statistics Compendium
The Department of Statistics has released the 2021 Environmental Statistics Compendium.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Compendium is structured into 13 sections and contains brief analyses, tables and graphs for each section. There are more than 40 statistical tables which provide a wealth of data about Bermuda’s environmental conditions.
“Some of the 2019 to 2020 highlights include:
- 1. The total volume of precipitation declined by 12.6% to 65.5 m ³/y.
- 2. Total electricity consumption declined by 6.5% to approximately 518 million kWh.
- 3. The number of reported fires decreased by 16.6% to 2,186.
“This publication is a useful research resource for school projects and highlighting awareness about issues affecting Bermuda’s environment.
“The 2021 Environmental Statistics Compendium is available at www.gov.bm/environmental-statistics-compendium.”
