City To Host Scavenger Hunt Next Month
The City of Hamilton announced that its City-wide Scavenger Hunt is back by popular demand and will take place March 11th and 12th.
“Following on from the success of last year’s Scavenger Hunt, we decided to bring back this unique experience for 2022,” explained Senior Events & Marketing Coordinator Tamara Bradshaw.
“The Scavenger Hunt is a fun-filled, educational, safe and contactless event that allows participants to have a blast while discovering the island’s capital. We are encouraging residents to come and engage their senses, compete for amazing prizes, and think outside the box as they discover Hamilton. This event would make a fun family night out, date night or unique team-building activity.”
A spokesperson added, “The hunts will take place in two ‘shifts’ each day on Friday March 11th and Saturday March 12th. Friday’s hunts are designed for those who are 18 years or older, and Saturday’s hunts are open to all ages. Friday’s hunts will start at 6:00pm & 7:30pm and Saturday’s hunts will start at 3:00pm & 4:30pm.
“Teams of 2 to 4 people are allowed. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed team and the fastest overall team as well as for the top 3 scoring teams of each day. The winning teams will be announced the following Tuesday [March 15th] via the City’s website and social media.
“Last year’s winners walked away with fantastic prizes such as flatscreen TVs, electric bikes, Bluetooth speakers, electronics vouchers, and various dining experiences. Participants can expect equally exciting prizes for this year’s hunts!
“A receipt with a minimum value of $25.00 from any City business between February 11th – March 12th, 2022 must be presented by each team on arrival at the event site to participate in each hunt.
“This is a Covid compliant event and has been organized to be as contactless as possible. As a reminder, the Covid-19 protocols of physical distancing and mask-wearing will be enforced.
“Participants will be required to pre-register online, which will help the City to manage the number of participants as well as allow for the gathering of contact tracing information in advance of the event. There will be no on-site registrations.
“Registration for the event is now open and the deadline to sign up is Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Teams can sign up via the City’s website at cityofhamilton.bm here.”
Ms Bradshaw added: “Each hunt will allow a maximum of 30 teams, so we are encouraging people to register early to secure their spot. We look forward to uncovering the City’s treasures with you!”
