Cyclists Compete In Dominican Republic Stage 6
Bermudian cyclists Conor White, Liam Flannery, Zander Miller, Nicholas Narraway and Dominque Mayho continued racing the XLIII Vuelta Ciclística Independencia Nacional in the Dominican Republic.
The sixth stage was the festival for complete climbers or cyclists with a distance of 156 kilometers.
Narraway was the top Bermuda rider on the day crossing the line in 15th, with a time of 4:15:52, he finished 5 minutes and 49 seconds behind the stage winner Augusto Sanchez who clocked 4:10:03.
White finished 50th stopping the clock in a time of 4:28:10, Flannery crossed the line 53rd with a time of 4:28:31. Miller finished 91st clocking 4:41:08, while Mayho finished 92nd with a time of 4:41:06.
Narraway picked up 1 point on the day and he continues to lead the Bermuda team overall. He currently sits in 20th place with a time of 26:17:29, he is 8 minutes and 34 seconds behind the overall leader Nelson Sanchez who has a time of 26:08:55.
White is 37th overall with a time of 26:30.18, Flannery is currently in 70th clocking a time of 26:55:07, while Mahyo is 75th with a time of 26:58:47, and Miller is in 80th clocking 27:03:42.
Narraway moved up to 4th in the Under 23 Division, he is 5 minutes and 18 seconds behind the current Division leader, Flannery is 16th, and Miller is 21st.
Team Bermuda is in 11th place with a six-day total time of 79:29:05.
