Bermuda Netball Association League Results
Netball action returned to the Bernard’s Park under bright and sunny skies, with action in the Under 11, Under 14, and Under 17 Divisions, as well as the Senior Division.
Under 11 Division
In the opener the Storm defeated the North Village Lady Rams 27 – 1. The Storm were led to victory by MVP Journee Belboda who scored 17 goals, and Maya Williams-Johnstone added 10 goals, with ZaRyah Holman scoring the lone goal for the North Village Lady Rams, with Kenzie McCray named MVP.
In the second of the back-to-back matches the Storm defeated the North Village Lady Rams 24 – 1. This time the Storm were led by MVP Williams-Johnstone who scored 14 goals, Belboda added 6 goals, with Diya Steede, and K-Lyn White both scoring two goals each. Holman scored the lone goal for the North Village Lady Rams, with Morgan Gibbons named MVP.
Rangers defeated the Phoenix Sparks 16 – 2, Elenor Kurualeba led the Rangers with 11 goals, with MVP E’Rynn Paynter adding 5 goals, while Kim-Mora Mallory scored the 2 goals for the Phoenix Sparks, with Aerial Williams named MVP.
Game two saw Rangers win again this time 17 – 3, Paynter scored 10 goals to lead them to victory, with Kurualeba adding the other 7 goals, with Saniyah Govia named MVP, Phoenix Sparks got single goals from three different players, Aerial Williams, Quinn Burgess, and Karis Dill all scored once, with Shiloh Simmons named the MVP.
Under 14 Division
The North Village Lady Rams Reds defeated the Rangers 30 – 2. Ra’eesah Robinson led the winners with 15 goals, Nevaeh Swan added 11 goals, and Razeeyah Robinson scored 4 goals, with Katiah Rogers named the MVP, while the Rangers got 2 goals from Star Abdullah, with Zyari Lawrence named the MVP.
The Storm Lightning defeated the Storm Thunder 19 – 11, Jazya Brimmer scored 14 goals to lead the Lightning to victory, with Naveah Barclay adding 4 goals, and Jamir Hatherley scored once, with Canaisa Wolfe named the MVP, while Amari Burgess scored 6 goals for the Thunder, with Malaysia Furbert adding 4 goals, and Journee Belboda scored once, Diya Steede & Furbert were named joint MVP’s.
Phoenix Embers defeated the Storm Lightning 20 – 13, Sydney Santos scored 11 goals for the Phoenix Embers, with Hailey Trott adding 9 goals, and Khylie Smith was named the MVP, Jazya Brimmer scored 9 goals for the Storm Lightning, MVP Nevaeh Barclay, and Jamir Hatherley both added two goals each.
Under 17 Division
The Storm defeated the Phoenix Fire 23 – 11, MVP Amayah Smith-Burt led the Storm with 12 goals, Imani-Marie Burgess added 10 goals, and Jaelyn Rewan-Lambert scored once, while MVP K’Xiyae Gibbons scored 6 goals, and Ke’zjah Weeks scored 5 times.
Senior Division
The Phoenix Heat continued their winning ways with a 47 – 26 win over the North Village Lady Rams, MVP Ebonie Cox scored 37 goals to lead the Phoenix Heat, while K’Xiyae Gibbons added 10 goals, while Jordyn Morris scored 15 goals for the North Village Lady Rams, Darrika Simons added 9 goals, and Zhane Simmons added 2 goals, with Jada Richards named the MVP.
