Football: Dandy Town Defeat Somerset Trojans
A goal in each half earned the Premier Division league leaders Dandy Town Hornets a 2 – 0 win over the Somerset Trojans at the Somerset Cricket Club.
Dandy Town Hornets captain Angelo Simmons gave them the lead in the seventh minute, and while both teams created chances for the remainder of the half, neither would be able to beat the other keeper, with Jaiden Manders in goal for the Dandy Town Hornets making a spectacular save to his left to deny the Somerset Trojans an equalizer.
In the 76th minute, Cecoy Robinson doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead as they claimed the 2 – 0 win and extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points.
