Hopkins Finishes 12th In Vuelta Al Guadalentin

Kaden Hopkins concluded competing in the Vuelta Al Guadalentin, Spain.

The third and final stage saw riders complete a 136 kilometers course in Puerto Lumbreras, after three laps of the circuit through the Alto de la Cañada de Alba, they headed to the Cabezo de la Jara Observatory.

A, 10 kilometers, 4000 plus feet of climbing with a tough uphill finish saw Hopkins finish 22nd clocking a time of 3:12:34.

The Stage was won by Pau Casas who clocked 03:12:01, while the overall winner was Abel Balderstone Roumens with a time of 6:58:04.

Hopkins finished 12th overall with a three-stage combined time of 6:58:36.

Hopkins Essax coach said, “Hopkins last year would not have finished this race and now he is a contender, improving with every race. This is a huge step forward especially when you consider last year when he first raced in Spain it was a baptism of fire so to speak.”
