YouthVision Launches Visionz Magazine Online

February 2, 2022

YouthVision Promotions has launched Visionz Magazine, Bermuda’s “exclusive anti-violence magazine.”

A spokesperson said, “YouthVision Promotions has now launched Visionz Magazine, Bermuda’s exclusive anti-violence magazine, to an online platform.”

Desmond Crockwell, Director of YouthVision, said, “Over the past two years, Bermuda has been hit hard by the impacts of Covid. Restrictions have caused mass gatherings, such as school visits, public demonstrations, and public forums to be more difficult to plan.

“In light of our current climate of physical distancing and limited in-person interaction, it made sense to offer the community a platform through social media channels that would still allow for collaboration and engagement with our anti-violence campaign.”

The spokesperson said, “On Friday, February 4, 2022, Visionz Magazine will be completely accessible online at www.visionzmagazine.com as we look to promote our message of anti-violence in Bermuda. We have incorporated several new features not seen in our previous hard copy editions, such as the online ‘Have Your Say’ survey to simplify community engagement as we address solutions to the social issue of gang violence. The online survey will also allow us the ability to collect data more easily and to share our findings with the community and key stakeholders.

“The online magazine will promote community opinion and dialogue, serve as a space for sharing experiences, and offer expert advice and resources. Another new component will be an online series called ‘The Platform’, which launches in March. The Instagram series will feature interviews and stories from community members, many of whom have been a part of street life.

“The series will also highlight new anti violence initiatives, and share testimonies from those who have lost loved ones to violence.

“Visionz Magazine and the Have Your Say survey can be found online at www.visionzmagazine.com. For more information or to be a participant in ‘The Platform’ series, individuals may contact Mr. Crockwell at youthvisionsports@yahoo.com and/or 337-7786.

“We would like to thank The Bermuda Community Foundation, Department of Youth Sport and Recreation, Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, Channel 82 and Mr. Deshion Deshields for their support.”
