Dandy Town Hornets Defeat PHC Zebras
The Dandy Town Hornets and the PHC Zebras were looking to advance to the Friendship Trophy final as they battled at the Devonshire Recreation Club.
Antwan Russell gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 13th minute, but Jomei Bean-Lindo equalized for the Dandy Town Hornets in the 29th minute. Tre Ming gave the PHC Zebras the lead on the stroke of halftime.
The Dandy Town Hornets equalized in the 46th minute as Tomiko Goater found the back of the net, but in the 60th minute, Russell converted from the penalty spot. The Dandy Town Hornets equalized as an own goal in the 65th minute to make the score 3 – 3.
For the first time on the night, the Dandy Town Hornets took the lead when Azende Furbert found the back of the net in the 80th minute, but the PHC Zebras equalized in the 88th minute as Marco Warren scored.
The match ended deadlocked and need extra time to decide a winner. In the 105th minute, Russell completed his hat trick by converting another penalty kick to give the PHC Zebras a 5 – 4 lead. One minute later, the Dandy Town Hornets were level yet again when Nizigh Spence scored. In the 120th minute, Jahzardae Samuels scored for the Dandy Town Hornets to take a 6 – 5 lead and keep their triple crown bid alive as they advanced to the Friendship Trophy final.
