Cup Match Players & Officials Golf Tournament
The Former Cup Match Players and Officials Association is getting set to host its annual golf tournament.
A spokesperson said, “The Former Cup Match Players and Officials Association [FCMPOA], a registered charity since 2019, is hosting their annual golf tournament with the assistance of Mr. Brian Morris and Mr. OJ Pitcher, both professional golfers, and the Director and Assistant Director of Ocean View Golf Club.
“The Association’s primary mission is to:
- provide financial assistance to former Cup Match players and officials who require supporting health care and/or other essential living needs
- assist young Bermudian cricketers aspiring to further their education and/or certification within the sport of cricket, and
- to protect, preserve and promote the significance of Cup Match and the game of cricket
“All proceeds generated will go towards the Association’s mission.

“Due to the global pandemic, the Association has been unable to host a number of events, however, as we return to some sort of normalcy, this year the Association is looking forward to hosting:
- Legend’s Night
- An additional golf tournament specifically for former players and officials
- Annual luncheon for most senior former players
- Promotion of the history and significance of Cup Match through various other mediums
