Serious Single Vehicle Collision In Southampton
[Updated] A serious road collision occurred on South Road in Southampton.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 03:15am on Saturday 26th March, police and other first responders were dispatched to a report of a serious single vehicle collision on South Road near the entrance to Church Bay, Southampton.
“Details are very limited however a man on a motorcycle was traveling along South Road, in an unknown direction, when it appears he lost control of the cycle.
“He was conveyed to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious head injuries.
“Anyone who may have been in the area around this time and witnessed this collision is urged to contact police on 211 or 295-0011.”
Update: Sadly, the police have confirmed “that the 51 year old man, who was involved in what appears to be a single vehicle collision which occurred on South Road near Church Bay, Southampton, around 3:15 am on Saturday 26th March, 2022, has also, sadly, succumbed to his injuries.”
