BFA Referee Committee Launch Online Courses
The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] Referees Committee announced the launch of an online Referee coaching platform.
A spokesperson said, “The Association has formed a partnership with E-Coach, to develop the online program to attract more match officials This platform will allow aspiring officials to complete the classroom aspect online at their own pace.
“Once finished they will receive a certificate of completion from the association and then they will be eligible to commence the practical training sessions with our instructors. The course can be found online at bermudafa.thewhistle.academy.
“There are three courses on the site: The Full referee Qualification Course, the Futsal Referee Course, and the Youth Level course. Participants take quizzes at the end of each module and support is provided if it is required.”
“The Referees Committee hopes that this new platform can be adopted by schools, clubs and the general public”, said Head of Referees Crenstant Williams. “The committee is optimistic this new partnership will lead to more persons registering to become referees and help to improve the sport.”
